These are the written rules of a local council. They are used to confirm a council's internal organisational, administrative and procurement procedures and procedural matters for meetings.

Complaints Policy

We are committed to providing the best quality of service but appreciates that there may be times when things go wrong. This policy aims to put things right where such situations occur and to prevent further incidents from happening.

Co-option Policy

This policy sets out the procedure to ensure there is compliance with legislation and continuity of procedures in the co-option of members to Austrey Parish Council. The co-option procedure is entirely managed by the Parish Council, and this policy will ensure that a fair and equitable process is carried out.

Disciplinary & Grievance Procedures

The council's aim is to encourage improvement in individual conduct or performance. These procedures set out the action which should be taken when disciplinary rules are breached by employees and how to resolve grievances.

Austrey Parish Council is committed to providing and promoting equal opportunities, eliminating discrimination, and encouraging diversity in the Community.

FoI Policy & Publication Scheme

The Freedom of Information Act and Publication Scheme grants members of the public rights of access to all kinds of recorded information and makes it available to the public as part of the council's normal business activities.

Grants Policy and Application Form

The Parish Council awards grants, at its discretion, to organisations which can demonstrate a clear need for financial support to achieve an objective which will benefit the village.

Privacy Policy

This policy is for this website and governs the privacy of the users who choose to use it. It explains how we comply with the GDPR.

Safeguarding Policy

Austrey Parish Council is committed to safeguarding all children, young people and adults at risk that come into contact with our work.

Training Policy

We are committed to ensuring that our Councillors and staff are appropriately trained to effectively, efficiently and equitably meet the needs placed on them by the Parish Council and to meet their statutory obligations.
